SP Social Responsibility
As Standard Profil Group, we focus on sustainability and we develop by adding value to the society we’re operating in.
We continue conducting projects to make a better world with ‘SP Act for Good’ and our volunteering employees.
Standard Profil donates 5 pumps to 5 villagesStandard Profil, as in previous years made a meaningful donation to UNICEF, as a New Year gift for its business partners. Standard Profil donated 5 water pumps to 5 villages with limited water supply. The pumps will provide clean water to dozens of families over a long period. Standard Profil continues to make life easier for children and those in need with meaningful donations.
We delivered the donations to people affected by the earthquake in İzmir. As the SP Act for Good Committee, we came together for the people affected by the Izmir earthquake. We made a call for donations to provide for their needs and received a huge return from SP members. The donations collected from SP Düzce, Manisa and Istanbul were delivered on December 31st. The donations included items such as thermal clothing and hygiene kits for the earthquake victims in the Limontepe neighbourhood and we also celebrated their new year. With this site visit, we had a chance to determine the current needs. We will continue our aid campaign in line with those needs.
We raise awareness of breast cancerSafeguarding women from breast cancer is important in terms of community healthcare. Because every year breast cancer devastates the lives of the women we love on a heart-breaking scale. As always in October, amazing people throughout Standard Profil wore pink to raise awareness in their communities, and among women about the importance of early diagnosis, and to support them in their participation in screening programs.
We walked for children with Cerebral Palsy in STEPtemberThe philanthropic activities of Standard Profil that positions corporate social responsibility as one of the cornerstones of its structure continue. As SP, we took part in the STEPtember project in Turkey to draw attention to Cerebral Palsy, one of the most widespread physical disabilities in childhood. We achieved substantial success ranking 4’th with a total of 20,738,185 steps, among the 35 institutions participating in STEPtember. This is a social responsibility project that encourages people and institutions to take 10 thousand steps a day, while collecting donations for children with Cerebral Palsy. We took the steps with 44 teams and 176 volunteer SP members and collected donations for the needs of children for rehabilitation in our 3’rd year in STEPtember within the scope of SP Act for Good. Our employees in all our locations around the world also wore green clothes to raise awareness about the condition on October 6, World Cerebral Palsy Day.
