Our History

Our journey started as a local automotive sealing system supplier in Istanbul with only 7 employees; now our reach extends to over 7 thousand employees all around the SP world.

1977

Our deep roots in automotive sealing systems go back to 1977 when Standard Profil was founded by Rıfat Kamhi in Istanbul on March 10.

1979

Our first production line becomes operational.

1980

We produce and deliver our first successful batch of Renault 12 door seals.

1985

We continue increasing our production as we become the supplier of choice for OEMs in Turkey.

1991

As a result of our success and growth, our second factory in Düzce begins operations.

1992

Our first step into the international arena begins with the GM-Opel project and we start shipping drip seals to Germany.

2000

Our journey continues with the expansion of our production and customer portfolio.



We reach a headcount of 700 SP employees.

2005

Our first investment abroad and our third plant starts production in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria.

2010

Our success extends beyond Europe with our first overseas investment in Cape Town, South Africa.

2011

Our customer profile leads us to China with the launch of Standard Profil China in Langfang.

2012

Further boosting our production capacity, we start operations in our second factory in Manisa.

2012

Kaufil Sealing Technologies joins the Standard Profil Group. In addition to four factories already in Spain and one in Morocco, its partnerships in Russia and India are also incorporated into the Group.

2014

Standard Profil Mexico, established in the short span of only nine months, starts operations in December 2014 as our first investment in North America.

2015

Gaining new business from our European customers, we double our production capacity both in Bulgaria and Morocco.

2017

Standard Profil’s Manisa-ZEKİ production location is established – Standard Profil is one of the founding members of the Sheltered Workplace and Living Center for the Mentally Disabled (Zihinsel Engelliler Korumalı İş yeri, or ZEKİ, in Turkish), a social responsibility project at Manisa Industrial Park with a specially designed working environment for those with disabilities.

2018

Our Chinese operations move to Jingzhou, a strategic location for the world’s biggest automotive manufacturers in the Chinese market.

2020

We open our new headquarters in Eschborn/Frankfurt(Main), Germany, in the heart of the European automotive market.

2021

Manisa-1 and Manisa-2 plants are united under one superior complex roof in Manisa Industrial Park.

2022

We have enlarged our operation in Mexico with a second factory in Apaseo el Grande, covering an area of 9,500 m2.
